Celebrating a century in the sky, Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defense, space and security systems.

CURRENT IDENTITY

PROBLEM

Boeing is known around the world as a leading manufacturer of commercial airplanes. What's not well known is that Boeing is a leader in space technology, defense aircraft, and communication systems. The goal is to close the gap between current perceptions of Boeing and their true scope as a global aerospace company.

SOLUTION

Consistent with past and present identities is the depiction of an object orbiting a sphere. It is important to retain the recognition that the current logo has built with its clients, therefore the new trademark will keep the orbit motif but discard the depiction of a plane or jet. As Boeing reaches their centennial anniversary they look towards the future, believing that the sky is no longer the limit. Why depict a particular aircraft when our is technology continues to evolve so rapidly.

BOEING YOUNG INNOVATORS

Boeing prides itself on being innovative and forward thinking. Boeing currently has an app named "Boeing Innovations" however the app I have conceptualized is targeted at a younger audience with the intention of keeping the countries youth looking towards the stars. This app seeks to educate teens and encourage them to think creatively, dream big, and possibly inspire a new generation of engineers.
